Night winked at Blaze as he joined his side, then wavered off ahead a little, weaving in and out of dead trees, as I'd lead by some invisible trail. He stopped, mid-step, and closed his eyes slowly as he came to stand tall again. He turned slowly to the others, and chuckled.
"I'm not a tracker." Came the purr of his voice, "I chase things... but I think our dinner is nearby." He gestured, with a nod of his head, to a wisp of sheep's fleece that had snagged on a low twig and been tugged loose. It danced in the wake of the wind, and from what Night could make out, it was fresh enough, for the world around them was sodden from rainfall, damp and drooping, and this wool was dry as a bone; it had not been long since the rain had stopped, earlier today, and sheep are not known to wander far when there are wolves lurking in their midst.
The small male rejoined the large alpha and nudged him a little, feeling their furs brush together in a black-brown mix. Then, he paused, gasped, and twitched a little as the childlike presentiment manifested in his spirit again. Night's chartreuse eyes caught the yellow of the sun, which was also drooping in this grey afternoon. He giggled, fixated on some invisible thing which had captivated him so, his gaze riveted on nothing at all. Night was not unlike a marionette in this way; little things could tug at his strings and he would react, a completely different wolf from the one he'd been, not moments before. He trotted over to the rear of the group, bounding happily, a docile expression on his face. He circled around Veita just once, before stopping just behind her, taking in the glow of that white pelt, as a wavering, whispered tune escaped his dry throat. He slowly walked back to stand at Blaze's flank, and the humming stopped. He smiled warmly. "Anyone here know much about tracking?" -it was as if nothing had ever happened.

She looked at Blade with a some what blank expression, it was fleeting but it was there, she didn't know what to say to his statement because she did not know him all that well, he was either trying to be genuine or was patronizing her in front of the others either way she couldn't keep some light hearted sarcasm at bay. "We can't all live for pulling pints and cleaning vomit filled bathrooms you know" she gauged what ever reaction her boss had before her attention diverted to the self appointed leader of the group. He was starting to move on with his hunt, probably fed up with the males squaring off to each other.

Soft padded paws gifted with silent steps followed after her mate's father, she was interested to see which way the hunt would go and what the three had to offer, she also wouldn't let the opportunity to prove herself pass her by. She was small, quick and able to move undetected. She did not play with her prey she was fast with her kills as she held more respect for life then to toy with in with the intention of causing pain. She had been a lone wolf for a very long time, hunting in a pack was not something she knew how to do, she would try to observe the others but ultimately she would do her own thing.

From what she could see other then picking out obvious signs, none of them really knew what they were doing when it came to following the ram. Noctis voices such as she had the very thought. He fell back with it, his steps carrying her around her to then pull back so he paced to her rear. Ears flattening her muscles pulled taught with the fleeting feeling of being hunted, turning her head she eyes him with a hardening gaze but as soon as she thought to speak he was moving once more, going to Blaze's side.

She was not specifically a tracker in fact she had no specific skills when it came to the hunt, she was more of an all rounder only she lacked brawn due to her size. The males around her, even Noctis accentuated her lack of size.
She smiled to herself, it was a good thing, lowering her head she was much closer to the ground, they could all feel the vibrations of movement but she could with ease hear them, locate them and see tracks.
Pulling off to the side of the group she followed the ram who seemed to have picked up his pace, probably on to the fact he was being hunted.
She didn't speak to inform the others of her slight change in direction, they would either join her or she would beat them to their mark.

"Amen to that," he replied to Veita, a laughing tone to his voice as he moved, almost scampering, to catch up to the other two males, who were standing around trying to figure out how to track their prey. Though Blaze stood a couple inches taller than him, in this form, Blade had a good 200 pounds on the male, of mammoth proportions either way, with how he stood above Noctis in height. "I can feel the critter moving through the shadows, so, we can track it that way, but, I feel you would prefer to track it by scent, like a wolf." he said, adding the last bit with a chuckle. Then, to Blaze, also non verbally, "yeah, she started a while back. Seeing her as a wolf makes total sense as to why she can hold her own against some of the more, rambunctious, patrons."

Turning to look at Noctis, as he stood at Blaze's flank, suppressing a snarl. Even though that was, rightfully, his spot, the snarl surprised him, he was quite normally a very loose and flexible wolf. But, for whatever reason, the fact that this, outsider, was standing there, just did not set well with him for some reason. Shaking his head, he circled around the pair, trying to keep the stiffness from his movements, since the circle, in the dark, was something he would normally do anyway. He got a bead on the animal they were planning to follow, about a half second before Veita took off after it. Grinning a fang filled grin, he loped after the smaller, though seemingly more adept, female.

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

That absinthe gaze shifted from the smaller, unkempt black wolf once he had winked at him. Benjamin wondered most of the time - if not all the time- what it was that made the wolf the way he was. Perhaps it was this precise reason that he had not shunned him away, was it his intrigue that had given Noctis the respect he had not asked for? He hadn't realised but in thought his brows had become heavy with a frown. Immediately he allowed for his features to soften, gaze shifting to look behind him towards blade wolf, noticing Noctis skipping beside Veita even further back.
Shaking his head, a vague smile moved his maw as he continued forward, head shifting once more to face the direction in which his legs took him. The alpha was not taking any particular direction, instead allowing his temporary pack mates to take the decisions for him.
No sooner thought than acted, Veita and Blade broke away from both Noctis and Blaze, just as the smaller black male grazed against the brutes side. He shot a glance towards the male but instead of acting upon it, chose to ignore it. Benjamin had learned in the short time that he had met Noctis that the male was not unlike a child in the way he acted around others and within himself. His moods seemed to shift dramatically, at one instant he would be playful, the next - aloof.
Without warning, he began in a light trot after the pair, interested to see what plan they might adhere to, if any, between themselves.
An ear twisted so that it was facing the posterior, keeping a lock on Noctis to make sure the male was in tow still.

It could hardly be said that Night was not careful, not adept in the art of hunting prey. The dark wolf knew fine-well what stealth was and how to apply it. But he was also not sadistic when it came to killing. He would not play with his food, -as he'd been raised in an environment in which food was no necessity, as the runt of the litter bore from an... unexperienced mother.
Here, a fresh kill had presented itself, vibrant and full of life. It would be the first he'd eaten in six moons, save for the petty scavengings he'd managed to lay claim to: scraps of flesh from marrowless, chewed-up bones, mauled salmon by the creek that had been snatched from their watery haven by the heavy paw of a grizzly. Hunger would not, however, cloud his judgement today; it was something he'd grown (or, more accurately, shrunk) used to.
Night caught that sharp glance from Blaze as he advanced, and it kept him in check. He made sure to keep to the back of him, -mindful of the way a pack was orientated. But soon, the snowy-white female had lead them to the treasure that they sought and the thought crossed his mind:
"For the rest of my hunting party, surely, this is just a game..." His eyes fell, almost maliciously, to the floor as his empty stomach growled in sick dissatisfaction. He felt the lean muscles in his back tense up and he picked up the pace, taking large strides out ahead and circling round the other side of the thicket, to look upon his prey from another perspective. Pausing to get his bearings, Night was mindful of the wind's direction. A south-easterly breeze stirred the air, but it shouldn't have carried his scent it's way. He couldn't say the same for the others, however, and he signalled to Blaze, with urgency in his eyes: "You must feel that... over here."
A calm nod was exchanged.
Night relaxed and let his snout lower to the blackened damp of the undergrowth. He could smell every bit of life that gushed through the vessels, ready to be torn and spilled out, hot and sweet, across an awaiting, hungry tongue.

boundaries had been crossed time and again though no paws made tracks upon the land associated with the Kostas wolf pack, an old family of which Anastasia was very familiar. This day was no different as the raven dipped down and beat her wings, flying lower and parallel to the great walls of the Rayoden. somewhere along the border of the territory she had stowed her satchel for safe keeping and with it the store of herbs collected across the territory lands. Shifting made it easier to traverse across large terrain with potential threats and by way of flying allowed great protection and view of the land.

The distant view of wolves below prompted memories to beg and beckon her mind to occupy and reminisce but Anastasia would have none of it. It wouldn't be until she was quite close in this form to identify exactly who it was that were converging upon a lone ram, innocent and ripe for the taking. She knew that stepping into Kostas land was dangerous even if she had long lasting friendships with those in the kostas pack, and the potential to be attacked was high when in another wolf's territory. Once upon a time she would have done the most diplomatic motions to avoid confrontations but these days it was more often that Ana found herself breaking more then a few of her old rules.

Lifting her tail to dive down towards the wolves below her with the knowledge of posing no threat to their prey, Ana took the chance in her raven form to find out who she had stumbled upon. tilting her head as large black eyes focused in whilst her form barreled in the sky towards the ground, it was apparent to her that at least two of the wolves were unknown. The other two however were old friends she was more than glad to see. Leveling out approximately fifteen metres above the ground Ana turned sharply, beating her wings as she few to the right and up to were the cliff wall provided enough of a ledge for her small form to perch upon. How any of them would react would be something she would have to chance but for the sake of not spoiling the hunt she reserved crash tackling Blaze for another time. Blaze had always been the one constant to this place for as long as Ana had known and to see him again along with Blade and new companions was heart warming.

as her head tilted and her clawed feet scuttled across the narrow ledge she looked for a bigger placement along the cliff walls, somewhere where she could cross in another form if need be. It took a moment and in doing so she took her focus off the hunt in progress below however not being a party to the event there was no harm done. Leaning forward once she spotted a placement on the left cliff wall which could be access from above and below she stretched out her wings, dipping low at first before arching up, flapping her wings to gain a little more stability as she landed on the edge of the desired cliff outcrop. hopping forward nimbly so that she had ample room, Anastasia shifted, feathered wings replaced by the thin snowy white fur and slender canine form, charcoal ear tips flicking forward in excitement as she lowered and padded back towards the cliff edge, a small whining yip escaping her maw as she leaned her head over the outcrops edge and stared down at the group.

The ram gained nothing with it's ample efforts to evade the group, they were on to him and there was nothing more then time keeping them apart but that would not last long. He could navigate the rocky faces with ease where as they would find it a little more difficult but sheer speed and numbers were against them.
Blade had broken away to tread the same path she had chosen to go, Noctis and Blaze were close by but had formed a group of their own, she was still unsure about the dark male and the impression she had of him, the way he had tried to draw closer to her would not sit well, she was sure if Cayden had been there a problem would have panned out rather quickly, luckily for them he was not and not only Veita but also Blaze had decided to think little of it.

Flapping wings drew her glance a bird in her periphery soaring through the skies in hunt for a place to rest itself. She would not have usually paid it much mind but the scent that carried in the breeze had something to it which made her pace slow a fraction, her attention still on the ram but now becoming just as directed at the avian creature. Something wasn't right, her heckles rose as a threat began to present itself the bird starting to change into something else once it had found purchase on the rocky face.
Feet slowed to a stop as a wolf took the birds place, maybe the ram would get away but for now that did not matter they could catch up to it another time, her concern was the rather strange wolf that now yipped towards them as though filled with joy.

(Not my best, sorry)

"Fear reminds us we're alive."

Benjamins eyes wandered in a side ways glance to Noctis, whom had taken position at the alphas flank. The smaller male always seemed in a daze, and yet not - Benjamin knew better than to think it. He recalled a time, long long ago, when he had met someone similar to the black wolf; though the name slipped his memory, the face and the mastery of tricks that the being possessed did not. How ever, Benjamin knew that Lucis was different. The male of a distant place was mischievous and malicious where Noctis did not seem so. This male was a trickster in his own right but there was a mystery about him that made Benjamin want to trust him. Whether it was a glamour to his personality, he didn't know, and perhaps it was just that thought that made the alpha weary of the male even though he had not given him reason to be so. None the less, he slowed a step allowing Noctis to take the lead, gesturing his head to usher the male before him.
Benjamin knew this hunt, he knew where to stand but it's purpose was to see how the others faired in a pack environment. A smile curled the corner of his maw into something hidden there but he said nothing as he watched the others disappear around a bush, to which he would cross in a few footsteps - were it not for the familiar sound that caressed his ears.
He stopped so suddenly that his paws slid on the dry dirt, rocks clicking together from the sudden forced halt. With erect ears his head spun around, following the sound skyward to the cliff face just above. "It cannot be." He exclaimed with delight. Following the swift turn of his head cam his shoulders and then the remainder of his body until he was facing her. His head cocked to the side like a awe struck pup, brows crimping in the centre in the confusion, "How in the hell did you get up there my love?" he asked befuddled. It was such a height he was sure she would have had to have sprouted wings or controlled the shadows like Blade.
Another thought occurred, "How long have you been following?" Was he that enthralled in his own plan that he had not been intone with his surroundings. Inwardly, he cursed himself. Punishment would come later, but for now he turned to the others whom had noticed her presence also- "Oh," He snickered "Anastasia is an old friend of mine, you needn't worry."
Head swinging back towards Naz he smiled "We are hunting. Though, I have not seen you in some time and my stomach does not yet growl. How about you come down here and we can catch up on lost time. I'm more than certain these three can handle a kill without me." He hinted for them to continue without him for now following the gesture with a soft gaze to Veita, Blade and Noctis, "Forgive me, please. Indulge all you wish in the feast, I will catch up with you all, but do not wait for me."

"speech."
Thoughts.

((Sorry all, lost track of posts and such, i do believe i am lacking here))

Picking up on the hint from Blaze, he continued on, following after the now recovered scent trail of the ram. Letting Veita stay directly on it, he veered off, following a side trail that took him up above the path the beast was taking. He had seen Anastasia as well, but, once his friend had greeted her as such, the larger wolf shrugged off her presence to focus on the hunt. The ram was now in his sight, so he began debating with himself just how much he wanted to show off. Running along the upper lip of the path, Blade made his decision. So, once again, he threw himself from a fair height to intercept his target.

As he fell through the air, his form shifted, going from that of a wolf to an almost man, then larger and more fierce. He attained his lycan form about three quarters of a second before impact, managing to get his arms opened to scoop up the ram, instead of simply crushing it. Rolling, he took several hoof impacts to his massive chest before coming to a stop, sitting up, and holding the ram like a large puppy, with horns, and somewhat painful hooves. Looking at Veita, he grinned, "That worked better then the last time I tried that."

Looking down at the squirming animal, "Now, do you want to kill this, or shall I?" He asked, smiling and showing a few rows of razor sharp teeth. He could do it easily from here, but decided to give her and Noctis the option if they so chose.
